Life didnt come easy for Deziree Ramirez. At the age of four her family suffered through a bankruptcy that pushed them into poverty. She spent years in a homeless shelter receiving aid from the Salvation Army and experienced adverse conditions that would have discouraged the average childbut not Deziree.
Learning from her grandfather, an accomplished designer, she began making designs of her own and quickly discovered her passion for designing and modelinga passion that propelled her from an uncertain past to a bright future.
At the age of seventeen she moved to New York City to pursue her career as a model and fashion designer. With the odds completely stacked against her she signed on with several modeling agencies before making her debut with Kick277, a reputable modeling agency headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
Her strength of character, work ethic, and talent was quickly noticed by fashion moguls like Richard Ford, Zac Posen, and Duckie Brown, catapulting her career to the next level.
Deziree began working for Ford Models and was soon engaged in the coveted international modeling circuit. She has done photo shoots and runway modeling all over the world and describes her first experience as a runway model in Japan as surreal.
Her entrepreneurial spirit culminated in her creation of Undezcovered, a clothing line as trendy as it is edgy. Dezirees secret to success? She puts her life story into her work and seeks to convey the depths of her experiences in the fabrics, shapes, textures, and colors she creates.
Today Deziree Ramirez has ten boutiques in the Continental United States, her clothing line Undezcovered is featured in Dillards Department stores, and her Home Line will be released on September 29, 2009.
